		zer0 SAYS: This rant, donated to the Fanclub in 2008, details Dec's theories concerning the Chappaquiddick incident. If you don't know what that is, you've probably lived under a rock for most of your life. "The Chappaquiddick incident" is the name the media gave to the events taking place on the night of July 18, 1969, when then-presidential candidate Ted Kennedy fled the scene of a nasty car crash that claimed the life of Mary Jo Kopechne, a young member of his deceased brother Bobby's campaign staff. This event became a national scandal and led to Ted Kennedy losing his bid for the 1972 Presidency.

In keeping with what may have been a lifelong habit of writing about "current events", Francis in this rant expresses his own opinions concerning Chappaquiddick. Not surprisingly, these fail to match the "official" story of what took place. Um... yeah! Even though Francis actually gets several circum-
stances concerning the event right in this rant, I still feel it fair to warn the reader that much of the
material is probably still to be considered highly offensive - especially if you happen to claim relation
either to the Kopechnes or to the Kennedy family! If you do, you should probably stop reading right
here instead of getting angry at what Dec writes. You have been warned!

Since the question is inevitably going to come up, I'll say right here and now that I don't believe in
what Dec is alleging about the incident in this rant - meaning I don't believe Ted Kennedy was a
murderer (or a rapist, for that matter). I do believe, however, that Ted Kennedy outright lied to the
public about the accident and that he, up until his death in late 2009, never told the complete truth
about what happened on that night or what his motivations were for driving away with Mary Jo in his
car in the first place. Make of that what you will. If you wish to learn more about Chappaquiddick, I can
recommend FBI:s official documents regarding the events of July 18, 1969, available online here and
here thanks to the Freedom of Information Act. An excellent video feed concerning the events at

As per the other new Dec rants available via the Dec Fanclub, this rant also contains a brand new
voice recording, recorded by none other than this Fanclub's Ted Torbich (AKA "TenebrousT"), who

Teddy Kennedy’s ridiculous,
contradictory FALSE story is that
he accidentally drove his Oldsmobile
off of the tiny bridge at nite and swung
the door open to escape from drown-
ing himself and that the area was a
distant deserted area WITH ABSO-
LUTELY NO HELP WHAT EVER. He
further claims he repeatedly dove in
the shallow water to save Jo Ann Kop-
ekney. Further Teddy Kennedy claims
soaking wet he was dazed and befud-
dled and forgot everything and went
home to to sleep and contacted no
one and did nothing about Jo Ann
Kopekneys death, until the next day.

Even from much greater heights, even
much smaller cars take minutes to
sink below the surface of the water,
making it virtually impossible for
JO ANN KOPEKNEY to be trapped
inside the Oldsmobile automobile. Jo
Ann Kopekney was a good swimmer.
The water was so shallow that big
Teddy Kennedy could have stood on
the automobile and opened its doors
in the water. Teddy Kennedy claims
Jo Ann Kopekney was sitting next to
him. Why did not she slide out the
open door after he jumped out?
