		zer0 SAYS: That darn Computer God! Those of us who have read Dec's previous rants by now know that its plans involve interbreeding Slovenic-Polish people with Jew- mulattoes, storing their brains in facilities on the lunar surface and implanting them with Frankenstein Controls at night. But who would have guessed it wouldn't stop there, but would also attempt to control and destroy all measure- ments, standards, history and written records by letting members of Congress (those bum gangsters!) enforce the application of the metric system?

As you might have guessed from its title, this rant deals with Dec's opposition to the process of
metrication. Parts of his critique of the metric system deals with its lack of organic measurements,
which is both a valid and common piece of criticism¹. However, much of the critique otherwise
expressed in this rant, especially concerning how metrication also "destroys all standards and values",
leads me to suspect Dec might possibly have suffered from a misapprehension seemingly rather
common among whacked-out people; namely that changing the name of an object, or the way in
which something is classified or measured, also somehow changes the nature of the thing in itself².
Obviously, this is not how the world works. You can call the distance between points A and B what-
ever you want, but this does in no way mean that the actual distance in itself, outside of your own
system of measurement, changes along with it - a concept which I am not entirely sure Dec grasped.

Then again, having now read this rant numerous times, I'm equally unsure whether he meant that
the Computer God's imposition of metrication "destroys all standards and values" by altering the actual
weight and distance of and between objects, or through the system being so "ridiculously complicated
and confusing" that no human without Frankenstein Controls can possibly understand it, or - alterna-
tively - through costing so much to introduce that the world economy would be ruined (or even a
combination of these things ). However, since Dec goes as far as to claim that the system destroys
all history and written records (you know, just to leave nothing out), I am led to believe my above
hypothesis might possibly have some credence. Since my country uses the Metric System, I guess
it also means we're pretty much fucked.

Regardless of Dec's criticism, this rant also reveals more of what the Computer God's over-all plan
for mankind is; namely making the Earth "deadly unlivable" (through metrication?) so that the Jew-
mulattoes created by its experiments will have to travel to other planets in order to survive - something
which appears to tie in with its plans to "explore and control the entire universe". We're all doomed!
Doomed, I tell ye!
