Alex Chiu: "Inventor of immortality!"

Alex Chiu is one of my favorite crazy people, up there with Francis E. Dec and Gene Ray--at least, he might be crazy. Part of my fascination with him is that I just don't know if he's really crazy, or just a con-artist.

He claims to have invented a device that grants the wearer physical immorality. Just wear it every day and you will NEVER die of old age (but you can still die in an accident). He also has a line of other products, and is working on ways to revive the dead among other miraculous feats.

I simply cannot figure out whether he's simply a fraudster or if he really believes in his own inventions. He seems so clueless, so odd, to be a fraudster--but it could very well be an act. Just look how he simultaneously seems so full of shit, and yet so sincere, during this interview:

He also has some rather interesting opinions about the government, taking the unpopular position of being in favor of the dreaded NWO and saying that the one who begins uniting the world's nations will be the Messiah. His site says this will happen before 2010, making it a bit outdated...

Ha ha ha! Yeah, I'm very familiar with Chiu. He was a "bigger name" in craziness a couple years back, though. Say, in 2001 or so. Like you, I honestly don't know if he's just deluded or if he really is a con-man. However, the fucked-up, semi-dyslexic way in which the man communicates, coupled with the sheer retardedness of his inane beliefs (many of which sound like something a 5-year old has thought up) leads me to believe he is truly legitimately insane. I mean, a con man couldn't really be that stupid, right? Undecided

I just realized you named this thread "Inventor of immorality". That makes the whole thing even funnier! Grin

I rely on those nifty red lines that show up under words to point out my typing mistakes... Embarrassed

It is fixed now.
